KEY BISCAYNE
CRANDON PARK BEACH
Although referred to as a “key”, Key Biscayne is not geologically part of the Florida Keys. It is an island located between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay and is the southernmost barrier island along the east coast of Florida. The Key is connected to Miami by the Rickenbacker Causeway. Beach goers move their toes through the Key’s soft white sand at any number of places on the Key because the island is ringed by beautiful beaches, including those in Crandon Park on the north end of the island and in the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park and the Biscayne National Park, both national parks in the south of the island. In between is the Village of Key Biscayne which is home to beautiful residential areas boasting multi-million dollar houses.
